2012 Learning Environments Upgrades

On May 14, 2012, USC Information Technology Services (ITS) and Facilities Management Services (FMS) began the next phase of a multi-year initiative to upgrade USC's general access learning spaces. This project involves upgrades to 55 classrooms and 5 auditoria. Classroom spaces will be enhanced with new projectors and motorized projector screens, IdeaPaint writable surface, additional power, light dimming controls, and room access controls on doors. Auditoria upgrades include new hi-lumen projectors and projector screens, program and speech reinforcement speakers, light dimming controls, new computers, and motorized lecterns.

Classrooms in the following buildings will be upgraded:

  • Grace Ford Salvatori Hall of Letters, Arts & Sciences (GFS) - 21 rooms
  • Kaprielian Hall (KAP) - 11 rooms
  • Montgomery Ross Fisher Building (School of Social Work) (MRF) - 2 rooms
  • Von Kleinsmid Center for International & Public Affairs (VKC) - 21 rooms

Auditoria in the following buildings will be upgraded:

  • Seeley G. Mudd Building (SGM) - SGM 123
  • John Stauffer Science Lecture Hall (SLH) - SLH 100, 102 and 200
  • Henry Salvatori Computer Science Center (SAL) - SAL 101

The expected completion date for this phase of the project is August 24.
