Updated: Wireless Network Connectivity Issues (December 6)

ITS has completed the installation of additional data network switches to the USC Wireless and USC Wireless Plus networks. This supplemental hardware provides additional capacity to distribute the load of wireless traffic. Service patterns returned to normal at approximately 1:00 a.m on Thursday, December 6, and have held steady since. The increase in switching capacity should be sufficient to handle wireless traffic. Peak traffic on the wireless network occurs between noon and midnight. ITS will continue to closely monitor the situation. (Updated at 11:32 a.m., Dec. 6)
