The First Sentence should Give Away the Whole Story. If not, do it by the second.

I've just done that in the Title. When you write an essay or paper, give away your main finding, what you want people to take away from reading your paper, in the first sentence, surely by the end of the first paragraph. You can do all the introductory and literature survey subsequently.
